Sharon’s journey exemplifies her exceptional ability to blend creativity with operational prowess, resulting in an extraordinary culinary venture.

Born on the idyllic island of Barbados into a family of talented bakers and cooks, she embraced her heritage and expanded upon her family’s culinary legacy. Sharon pursued her culinary education at the prestigious New York Technology College in New York, excelling in her studies and earning the opportunity to further her skills through the International Student Exchange Program at the CFA Mederic Ecole Hoteliere de Paris, France. Upon her return to New York, she gained valuable experience as a Chef’s Assistant at The Door, New York, NY. She later discovered her passion while working as a Pastry Chef’s assistant at the Marriott Hotel in New York.

Over the next two decades, Sharon worked for the New York City Department of Education and the New York City Department of Corrections, New York, NY, where she matured into a well-rounded food and hospitality management professional. However, she maintained her skills by creating specialty decorative cakes, cookies, and artisan breads for clients, family, and friends. Today, Sharon has taken a leap of faith and established Bimshire Confections to combine all she has learned over the last four decades, aiming to bring her passion to her new creations and personalized service to her clients.
